Time and Cost

PADI courses are performance-based, enabling you to progress at your own pace. This type of learning ensures competent and prepared divers.

Time: Confined Water. Typically you will spend 3 hours in the pool over 3 weekends (either Saturday or Sunday night). Traditional students will come into the shop 3-4 hours before each pool session to go through the knowledge development. eLearners will come in about 2 hours before the first class to take a quick review test. You will also be fitted for your rental gear on the first day.

Checkout Dives are completed at Dutch Springs in Bethlehem PA. This will consist of 4 dives over 2 days with the potential of a 5th dive depending on the class.

Checking out on vacation? You will receive a referal form to take with you to be given to your next instructor.

Cost: Learning to scuba dive is comparable to other popular adventure sports and outdoor activities. You can expect to pay about the same as you would for a full day of surf lessons, a weekend of rock climbing lessons or about three hours of private golf lessons.
